Deer in flight

 OK, walking through the carpark the other day I came to a realisation. I appear to have a faulty dfence mechanism. Where everyone else has fight or flight instincts I have freeze instincts. My eyes say "car coming" brain says "FREEZE!" Perhaps my brain is just arrogant. Its sitting there nice and comfortable in its cranial fluid or whatever it is and thinking "well, IM not telling u to move, make the CAR go around!" with its little arms folded. Trouble is cars and bikes will do just a little more damage to me and my pedantic little brain than it will do to them.

 

Switching topics now, we should ban redit cards. Ban Credit Cards. Not because of teens getting cards- thats not my lookout. People should be responsible enough to know if they will be able to pay them off. Not my concern. What does irritate is the number of people that dont know how to use them. In case you've forgotten why this would be a big deal, I work in a newsagency occasionally. Do you know how many people cannot use their little plastic cards? It's not complicated, but still people stuff it up every time. Wrong number, or trying to put the card in the wrong way. True I stuff this up myself sometimes, but I dont own a credit card. These people do so presumably they use it on a regular basis. And yet... My personal loathes are the ones that try and swipe their cards before I've finished entering the stuff Ive got to. it's not an instantaneous process buddy. Just 'cos ur impatient dont make it go sny faster than it is already. Then there's the ones that tell me Cheque or Savings accounts. What do you want ME to do about that? It's ur account and YOU"VE gotta push the button. Jeeze people learn to use the plastic or dont use it at all.
